The more families are involved, the more kids succeed.

Volunteer

You don’t need teaching or professional experience to volunteer. The most important qualification is a genuine interest in helping our students and teachers maximize their potential.

In order to volunteer, you must complete a background check and the clearance process.

Learn about the clearance process and download the paperwork.

Fruit Valley PTO

We strive to make our school a better place for the students, staff and parents. We’ve helped raise money for office equipment, supplemental supplies, art supplies, etc. Not only do we help raise money, we also volunteer to help our teachers and school.

The PTO meets every first Monday of most months at 3 p.m. in the Family-Community Resource Center (across from the school office).

Lunch Buddies

Fruit Valley needs lunch buddies! The Lunch Buddy program connects community members, who have completed background checks, with students, who have received parental permission. Buddies meet once per week for lunch, as well as play board games or participate in outdoor activities during recess. The program is coordinated by the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools.

To become a buddy and complete a background check, contact Staci Boehlke, Family-Community Resource Center coordinator, at 360-313-1904.

Community partnerships: It takes a village.

Our school is truly a community school!

We partner with many local businesses and community organizations that provide services and support to our students.

If you’re interested in joining our school’s community, please call 360-313-1900.
